I have an established record of successfully delivering projects in the commercial, government, and charity sectors.

 

I use a pragmatic approach to delivering projects, adapting the delivery method to suit the culture of the organisations I work with. 

I started my consultancy business in 2013.  Since then I've managed projects for York Housing Association, Cordant Group PLC, a NHS STP area, a number of clinical commissioning groups, and a social enterprise.

 

I've supported general practices across the Humber and north Yorkshire to deploy new online consultations systems to help practices improve the time it takes for patients to be seen by a practice.

 

I've replaced the telephone systems for a group within a social enterprise, introducing improved call handling.  I've also supported this group to improve the way they deal with urgent needs from their clients.  I've managed the introduction of an automated telephone system at general practices within a clinical commissioning group reducing the amount of time patients have to wait to book an appointment, and reducing the workload at the practice.

 

I've defined, designed and delivered the migration to cloud applications for a PLC.  This included migrating their email and office applications, and moving from a thin client envinronment on desktop computers, to mobile devices running cloud applications on smartphones and Chrome OS.  I also redesigned their network to provide faster connections at lower cost.

 

Before starting my consultancy I worked for a number of organisations including software houses (one of which had a worldwide client base) and a NHS organisation.  Most notably I was responsible for creating the technology and information systems for a national charity from scratch.  This involved defining, designing, and delivering services that would operate to a high degree of reliability 24/7 as the organisation provided care around the clock across the UK.
